Below are the rubrics for the projects you'll be working on the weeks of 5/15 and 5/22.  All projects will be graded on 5/24.  Please make sure that your group has all five projects to turn in on Wednesday the 24th.

 

Dust Bowl Song & Video Story Board 

 

At this station, you will be writing a song about the dust bowl.  You may invent your own melody, or you may write your song to the tune of another song (i.e.  Put lyrics about the dust bowl to the beat of the Jackson 5s song "ABC).  Your song must have a refrain and at least three verses.  After you have created the song, come up with a story board for the video of your song.  A story board is basically pictures of the scenes you want in your video.  Your story board must have a minimum of four scenes.  Please see the rubric below for grading.

New Deal Skit

At this station you may choose between creating a Skit or a Game about the New Deal.  Your goal is to teach your classmates about the New Deal.

  Use the materials provided to create a skit defining New Deal and define a minimum of five of the acts that were a part of the New Deal.  Creativity counts! Use Prpos, and make sure

to make enough copies of the script for all actors.  Practice your skit a couple times to make sure everyone understands what is going on.  Please see the rubrics below for grading.

Stock Market Crash Warning Extra, Extra Read all About it

At this station you will be sent back in time.  It is the period of time just before the stock market crash and you are a news paper journalist.  You see all the signs that the stock market will crash and you want to warn the people of America.  It is your job to create a News Paper cover and article defining at least six of the reasons that you think the stock market will crash.  Read the information provided, it will tell you all of the things that contributed to the stock market crash.  Make sure that your cover has at least two pictures.  Be creative you want the paper to be attractive so that people will read it.

Art Exhibit
